Privacy — what this site collects

This is a short, plain-language notice, not a legal boilerplate. It covers everything this site actually does with visitor data.

Anonymous pageview counter

When you visit a page here, your browser sends a small anonymous ping recording: which page, when, and where you came from (the referring page, if any) — nothing else.

• No cookies. Nothing is stored on your device.
• No persistent visitor ID. We cannot tell if the same person visited twice, and we don't try to.
• IP address is anonymized before it's stored — the last part of it is zeroed out immediately, so what's kept can't identify you or your household.
• No third parties. This isn't Google Analytics or any external service — it's a small first-party script we run ourselves, and the data never leaves this server.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding basic site traffic (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Because nothing personally identifying is stored or read from your device, this doesn't require cookie-consent under the German TTDSG.

Newsletter / contact signup

If you submit the email form on the homepage, that address (and any note you add) is stored so we can respond or notify you. It's used for nothing else and isn't shared.
